New Research Report – What is the place of families in church post-Covid?

From 8th November 2022, a brand new research-based report is being launched, exploring the place of families in the UK church post-Covid.  The research has been carried out by Dr Ann Casson (NICER) and Dr Sarah Holmes (Liverpool Hope University), alongside partner organisations:  Care for the Family, Evangelical Alliance, Hope Together, Parenting for Faith, Share Jesus International.

The research was carried out in February 2022 because there were reports of many families not returning to regular church attendance in the post lockdown season, and the team wanted to explore the reasons behind this.  The research comprised an online survey of church leaders and Christian parents, and in-depth interviews with Christian parents and KS2 children.  The participants represented twelve different denominations from various locations across the UK.
