Creative Lives on Air

The SDH Centre is working with Nick Ewbank Associates on an evaluation of the Creative Lives on Air project run by Voluntary Arts England in partnership with BBC Local Radio until 2023.

Four BBC local radio stations in the north of England (BBC Radio Merseyside, BBC Radio Lancashire, BBC Radio Cumbria and BBC Radio York) are each hosting a Creative Lives on Air officer whose remit is to stimulate engagement in creative cultural activity among older and more isolated people. This is achieved through collaboration with local cultural partners who are organising and publicising taster sessions and ongoing projects in participatory arts and crafts and to produce on-air content for broadcast.
