This programme compromised several training initiatives aimed at increasing the number of young people in specific populations (BAME, EAL and SEND) participating in and leading sport and physical activity.
Through opportunities to develop and apply leadership skills in schools and communities, the programme aimed to enhance participants’ health, wellbeing and individual development, increase the diversity and accessibility of young leaders and inspire the engagement of peers. Leadership projects comprised Step into Sport Inclusive Leadership events, Young Leader Training, Future Sport Leaders training events, Leadership Insight Projects and Primary Active Leaders.
