Our strategic plan

The Centre was established in June 2016. Between 2024 and 2029 the CCPR objectives are:

  • To conduct research on police subjects of strategic importance and relevant to the REF themes for UoA 18 (law)*
  • Translate research findings into quality outputs that are operationally useful for practitioners, thereby increasing impact
  • Increase our successful funding bids over the next 3 to 5 years, in line with the REF 2029 strategy and the UoA18 themes
  • Host conferences, online seminars, round table events and publish an ongoing blog to facilitate knowledge exchange and where relevant bring together practitioners and academics for collaboration and knowledge exchange
  • The objectives will include development through the university’s growing application of HYDRA for both research and teaching purposes. In line with the university’s Strategic Plan for Research and Enterprise, HYDRA offers a dynamic and responsive environment for research and learning. This will assist with developing collaborative, interdisciplinary research and the application of research findings in the wider social context.
